Will there be another stimulus check in 2022?

East a fourth follow-up check to arrive in 2022?

For now, the Biden administration is not issuing a fourth stimulus check in 2022 and instead chooses to focus its efforts on the enhanced child tax credit and the US bailout.

But some members of Congress and much of the public have shown support for further relief from the pandemic.

More than 2.9 million people have signed a The Change.org petition titled “$ 2,000 / month to every American”. The petition “calls on Congress to support families with a payment of $ 2,000 for adults and a payment of $ 1,000 for children immediately, and by continuing regular check-ups throughout the duration of the crisis.”

If the petition reaches its goal of 3 million signatures, it will become one of the most signed petitions on Change.org.

Here’s where most of the stimulus funds were spent and the only group eligible to receive stimulus funds in 2022.

Of the latest round of stimulus checks, 52% of them went to households earning less than $ 50,000 per year, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the US Treasury.

About 85% of stimulus checks went to households earning less than $ 100,000 per year or to people who did not file their tax returns in 2019 or 2020.

Single filers earning less than $ 75,000 per year and married couples filing jointly earning less than $ 150,000 per year were eligible for receive the maximum amount of cash totaling $ 1,400 per person.

The IRS distributed a total of $ 390 billion in third-round stimulus funds through June 3.

The IRS has distributed the payments from this third round of stimulus money to people who filed their 2020 tax returns in 2021 or are eligible for larger payments on their 2020 tax returns than their 2019 tax returns.

Parents of newborns are eligible to receive payments of up to $ 1,400 from the third and, for now, the last round of stimulus checks issued in March.

To receive the payment, the parents of the newborn must file a tax return for 2021 in 2022 so that they can receive the money in 2022.

Single parents earning up to $ 75,000 per year and couples earning up to $ 150,000 per year are eligible to receive the full amount of the check.

However, even these parents of newborns are not eligible for a fourth stimulus check in 2022.
