Think Mobile
March 17th, 2009Today, I find myself leaving Austin Texas, and flying to New York to speak at the Think Mobile event 18th – 19th March at the New Yorker hotel. I am chairing a panel around this topic…
Monetization with Mobile Social MediaCurrencies that drive the mobile social media business model.
Social media has become a major part of our lives. The mobile device has become a terminal to the social media networks online as well as a breeding ground for unique mobile offers. The user-generated aspect of social media networks has been a challenge to monetization, and CPMs have remained low as social media marketing continues to be difficult to justify and track.
The ThinkMobile site says, 2008 was a pivotal year for mobile. The marketplace became flooded with smartphones including the iPhone, Google’s Android, Blackberry Storm and Nokia’s N95. New applications and web experiences emerged daily, and new business models arose for mobile advertising, mobile search, and location-based social media.
In 2009, many questions remain unanswered. The top of list is inevitably – what is the best way to make money in mobile?
The ThinkMobile event, March 18-19, 2009 in New York City will provide solutions, uniting content business opportunities with marketing strategies surrounding the ultimate cross-media vehicle: the mobile device.
